Open Data Challenge Series

Sunday, 26 April 2015 from 13:45 to 17:00 (BST)

Manchester, United Kingdom

26 April 2015

The Jobs Open Data Challenge invited people to come up with great products and services that use open data to answer our challenge question:

How can we use open data to help people get better jobs or create new jobs?

Applications have now closed and the top ranked teams have been invited to attend a Creation Weekend to refine and progress their product or solution that will ultimately answer this challenge. Working intensively over the weekend, applicants will come together to develop and test their ideas. They will then pitch in front of a panel of expert judges at the end of the weekend to become one of 3 finalists who will receive an intial £5,000 seed funding prize + incubation support as well the chance to win the grand prize of up to £50,000 to further develop their project.

We have a small number of seats available for people to join us on Sunday afternoon to watch the teams pitch to become finalists and see first hand which three of the teams will progress as finalists! Please join us to support the teams and for a chance to meet them over some drinks and nibbles.

Tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis, so book soon to avoid disappointment!
